Section: Tools > Configure Widget
The Configure Widget section allows you to customize the basic settings of the map that will be embedded on your website via a widget. Here you can define:
- The mapping platform (e.g., OpenStreetMap)
- The initial point where the map opens
- The zoom level
- Other options to enhance the user experience
Map Configuration
1. Select the map
Choose the platform to use for displaying the map:
- OpenStreetMap (default)
- (Other platforms may be available in the future or on advanced plans)
2. Initial Map Position
Set the initial map position that will be shown to your users when the widget is first loaded.
You can do this in two ways:
- Manually entering the coordinates:
- Latitude: e.g., 40.707512
- Longitude: e.g., -74.011216
- Clicking directly on the map to place the initial marker.
3. Zoom Level
Set the initial zoom level (the higher the number, the more detailed the visible area will be).
Examples:
- 4 = wide view (e.g., continent)
- 12 = neighborhood view
4. Other options
Enable zoom with mouse scroll wheel - Enable or disable the option for users to zoom using the mouse scroll wheel.
Saving
Click “Save” (top or bottom-right) to save the changes.
The settings will be automatically applied to the live version of the map.
